How does the process work?

The process will vary depending on the brief, but overall it will follow a similar pattern – it’s the level of detail and resources involved. We keep you involved and informed every step of the way.

From discussing the brief with you, the first step is to develop some creative ideas. Once everyone’s happy with one idea, details are finalised - we'll define the look, the locations, the days and the manpower available, and how best to maximize available budget.

Storyboard, script and pre-production planning: In the case of animation, our animation director will involve associate animators to create styles and characters – if it’s live action, we’ll plan the shoot – locations, actors, make up, catering and so on.

We’ll put together the production team – cameramen, directors, lighting, sound, props and costumes – and design the studio or set if one is needed.

The next stage - post production, covers editing, music, voiceovers, graphic identities and so on.

The approval process is a vital element in this process, so if it’s a commercial, we submit the scripts to Clearcast, before submitting the final version for approval.

In terms of the final version, there are several stages involved, from getting the project mastered for broadcast, setting the levels and grading the colours before we can send it to the broadcasters. We always conduct a final check to make sure everything has arrived safely and in good time.
