Nominated for 2 Media Innovation Awards


Pangaea TV has been nominated for two awards at the 2008 Media Innovation Awards. Simon has been shortlisted in the Best Newcomer category, which our Motion Graphics Designer Yelena won last year, and we have also been nominated for our collaboration with Exeter University drama students for the Interactive Theatre DVD 'Runaway?'

Congratulations to our editor and motion graphics designer Yelena who won Best Newcomer at the Media Innovation Awards hosted by Plymouth Media Partnership. We'd also like to say a huge well done to all the other winners.

ITV ‘Country Lives’ Bumpers

We’ve produced four Sponsorship Bumpers for ITV's ‘Country Lives’ series. Shot on High-Def high-speed cameras, each bumper is a light hearted portrayal of country living. ‘Country Lives’ is broadcast in September of this year.

 

Supporting Access Sport at the home of Cricket

We are very proud of this years promo film for Access Sport, and of our status as an official sponsor of such a fabulous charity. Team RAC season finale

Pangaea is proud to be working closely with Team RAC, during the successful '06 and '07 race seasons, providing promotional films and media content. Editing is underway on the '07 promo and we're looking forward to next season with great anticipation.

 

Award winning cinematographer joins Pangaea

Award winning photographer, filmmaker and cameraman Simon Hammett has joined the team. Simon will add another exciting creative dimension to our in-house production team.

 

Paying tribute to the King of Pop

Our thoughts are with the family, friends and all those affected by the untimely death of Michael Jackson. Pangaea Tv were proud contributors to BBC's 'When Louis (Theroux) met Michael (Jackson)'. We provided some of the UK based footage for the documentary.

After meticulously sifting through reel after reel Tanja Voronina was chosen for her adaptability, dedication and vision. She has huge potential to add a dynamic new twist to our creative team.

 

Creating channel ID's for MTV!

Glen, Simon and Tanja have finished work on two fantastic logo animations for MTV, well known for their cutting edge animation style. You can now see our work on the MTV + Me Eyeka website Glen and Simon's here and Tanja's here.

Shooting Slo-mo at Crealy (not the turtle)

We have been working closely with RH Advertising on a new ad campaign for Crealy Adventure Park. Shot in High-Definition and ultra slo-mo the three commercials really capture the thrill of the rides.

 

Pangaea recruits international talent

Yelena was Senior promo Director for BTTV in Belarus. Previously Yelena worked for Saatchi's and Benetton, and in addition to her tv portfolio Yelena runs her own business specialising in fashion photography.

 

Becky joins Pangaea

Graduating from Exeter University with a degree in archaeology Becky decided to hang up her trowel for an opportunity to work with Pangaea. As an account manager and television researcher Becky can combine her three favorite things: Talking, writing and being kept busy! In her spare time Becky enjoys photography, talking about herself in the third person and dancing like no-one's watching.

Carl Mason is the latest recruit to the Pangaea team. Carl is an experienced editor and graphics legend who has spent most of his career working in Cape Town SA, on high end broadcast and commercial projects.

Best-selling author grants story rights

International best-selling author, Michael Marshall Smith is working alongside Pangaea to adapt one of his books, 'When God Lived in Kentish Town' for film. Its a rare award and speaks volumes for Smith's faith in our team; other stories by the same author have sold in seven figure deals to Spielberg amongst others. The screenplay is in the final stages with casting and production to begin shortly.

 

Star signs up for film project

MyAnna Buring, who shot to stardom with a leading role in the 2006 hit movie 'The Descent', has agreed to appear in our short film 'When God Lived in Kentish Town', written by acclaimed author Michael Marshall Smith. Director Karl Lear commented, 'We're overjoyed that MyAnna has signed up, it epitomises the faith that she and the rest of the crew have in this great project.'

 

Yelena short-listed for award

Pangaea's motion graphics designer and editor Yelena has been short-listed for 'Most Innovative Newcomer' in the 2007 PMP Media Innovation Awards. Yelena was recognised for, amongst other projects, her work on the Animated Exeter promo.
